Accounts function for a long time and never fail. I have successfully tried to log into 50,000 accounts from one IP address without any problems.
These accounts ONLY allow you to view email and change passwords. They do not allow you to send emails or use other features.
Although the accounts do not support the IMAP protocol, they do have an API for reading emails. (Login and click "API" to learn more)
